The Title

So, the title. "The Litter". Does it refer to the unusually large number of pups Abby's planning to pop out? The accumulation of detritus that seems to be taking over our lives as we try to work, rest, and accomplish way to much before the babies arrive? What's left of our dreams (at least for now) of pack-up-and-leave world-traveling adventure? I think it's probably the first.
