At our latest ultrasound Barry asked the technician to print us pictures of the babies' brains rather than the standard profile shots. It was clear from the reaction he got that this is not a common request. But she gave us the shots. And I'm glad she did. While most people respond to their baby's tiny fingers and faces, nothing made these little bambinos finally seem real to their father like a glimpse of their perfect cerebellar peduncles. I'll leave it to you to find these adorable little structures on the attached ultrasound scans. But for those of you who are a little out of practice in reviewing neuroanatomy, you can trust us that those brains are finally looking remarkably human.
